Balance and Quota

OpenFrog can act as a pure gateway or as a managed access layer that also includes balance, quota, and billing controls.

Three concepts to keep straight

• An API Key is an access credential, not the balance itself
• Quota, allowance, and pricing policies are controlled by the site console
• Whether balance top-up is available depends on the current site configuration

Common usage patterns

• Allocate quota by member or project
• Offer a unified model access service externally
• Apply layered pricing across different upstream routes

If quota or balance looks wrong

Check these items first:

1. The key belongs to the expected account
2. The model has custom pricing configured
3. Extra multipliers or route costs are enabled in the console
